May 12 @ 11:00 am - July 23 @ 4:00 pmFree
Prayer rug design emerged early in the history of Islam. It is usually a small rug used to kneel on during prayer. However, the design of these rugs developed into a popular genre of carpet. Learn about them and the culture that inspired them. Prayer rugs displayed will be from the museum’s collection, as well as on loan from Peter Pap Oriental Rugs of Dublin, New Hampshire.
The exhibit can be viewed Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. FREE!
